When Danny's mum gave birth to her baby boy at 32 weeks, he was born silent. As she watched the medical team perform CPR on her baby, she knew in her heart he wasn't going to survive but until the doctor turned around to say sorry, she didn't want to believe it. Over time with the support of friends, family and her local Sands group, Danny's mum began to feel less overwhelmed with her grief. She shares how support from Sands was extremely important to her following Danny's death and how she found great comfort in having a safe space to talk about him and her grief with other bereaved parents and families. As Sands launch their first Say Their Name Day in the UK, she also shares the importance of saying Danny's name and making sure his siblings can talk about him and ask questions.

Naveen shares how her daughter Sophia, who was born early at 24 weeks and four days in May 2019 fought for five days before passing away in her parents arms. At the time she and her husband were living in Australia and had support from Red Nose, Sands' sister charity there. Since moving to the UK, Naveen attended her local Sands support group and has gone on to become a Befriender for Sands. As Sands launches the first Say Their Name Day in the UK, Naveen also shares the importance of saying Sophia's name, and speaking about her loss so other people know it's okay to talk about their grief.

Elsie shares how when she had a miscarriage a couple of months after she turned 16, it broke her. She wants people to know that if a teen loses their baby it's not fair to assume that they will just move on.

Anesa's princess Medina was her fourth child. When she felt movements she had never encountered before, her heart and gut did not sit well with what she was feeling. During a scan, when the doctor said, "there is no heartbeat I'm sorry" Anesa's world came crashing down as her heart screamed in pain. When Medina was born on 2nd June she was everything Anesa expected yet more, just fast asleep in her mother’s arms.
