Mark's story and his poem 'Still'
Mark got in touch with us on his 67th birthday, which was also the anniversary of the stillbirth of his sister, Katie Emma, sixty years before. He shares his story of being a bereaved sibling and wants to witness and validate the experience of other siblings who have lost a sibling to stillbirth. He wants siblings to feel entitled to their loss, to speak up about it if that is useful, to mark it in some way and to reflect on what has been lost and what has been gained. In his own reflection, Mark also shares his self-penned poem 'Still' dedicated to his younger sister, Katie Emma.
