Oliver is the Chief Executive of the Royal College of Radiologists and was elected as Chair of Sands' Board of Trustees in 2018.

He knows first-hand the huge difference the charity can make, having been supported by Sands after the death of his daughter, Primrose. 

Previously, he was the Director of Fellowship at the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufacturing and Commerce (RSA) and Executive Lead for its work on the Economy, Enterprise and Manufacturing. 

His other roles include the New Forest National Park Authority, the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) and the Overseas Development Institute. He holds an MBA from Cranfield School of Management and a Masters in Global Politics.
