Octopus Legacy makes it easy to write your free Will online, over the phone or in person.

If you live in England or Wales, you can write your Will online for free. All Wills are checked by a qualified solicitor and there is always someone available if you have questions – either via online chat or by telephone.
If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, or would prefer to talk directly with a solicitor, you can call 0800 773 4014 to use their telephone service or to arrange a face-to-face appointment. Just quote ‘Sands’ over the phone to claim your free Will.
Is my free Will really free?
Writing your Will with Guardian Angel doesn't cost you a penny because Sands covers the cost at a discounted rate. If you need to change or amend it anytime, Guardian Angel offers free unlimited changes as part of its optional annual subscription service. This is free for the first year and then £10 annually after that. You can opt out at any time. This is all explained when you come to complete your Will.
Do I need to leave a gift to Sands?
While we hope you'll consider leaving a gift to Sands after providing for your loved ones, there's no obligation.
Any gift, large or small, will be a lifeline for the babies yet to be born and for bereaved families. You can also dedicate your gift in memory of a much-loved baby if you wish.
Who can use this service?
All our supporters over 18 can write their Will for free with Guardian Angel.
What kind of Will can I write with the service?
There are two types of Will: simple and complex. The kind of Will you need depends on your situation.
A simple Will is the most popular online Will. It enables you to name executors, nominate guardians for children and pets, and divide your estate as you wish.

Can my partner and I make Wills together with this offer?
Yes you can, using mirror Wills. The option to write a Will with a partner will appear in the first few steps, and you'll also be given the option to add any personal wishes either of you may have.
Can I leave a gift in memory of someone special?
Yes and many of our supporters do. When you add a gift to your Will, you have the option to include a special message. You can use this space to share the name of the person you're remembering through your gift and why you're honouring their memory.
How do gifts in Wills help Sands?
Gifts in Wills play a vital role in making sure the Sands community is there to care for all bereaved and grieving parents and families following the death of their baby. These special gifts will also help us continue our vital work to improve maternity safety and save babies’ lives. We do this by supporting vital research, campaigning for change at government level to improve maternity care and working to reduce inequalities, so that every family receives the same level of care.
A gift to Sands in your Will costs nothing today, but it will help to secure the future of the charity. Just 1% could make an enormous difference.
