This World Mental Health Day, 10 0ctober, we are highlighting that our new Sands Wellbeing Box is now available to order for anyone who has been affected by pregnancy or baby loss to help look after themselves and focus on good self-care practice.

We understand it can be difficult to know how to support a family member, friend, or colleague after their baby has died. Working together with Letterbox Gifts, our Bereavement Support team and bereaved parents have worked with Letterbox Gifts to create this beautiful Sands Wellbeing Box.

It contains a variety of thoughtful and special items to help with self-care, including a kraft notebook and pen, clay tealight candle, comfort stone, wildflower seeds, peppermint tea pyramids and a natural lip balm.

Whether you are thinking of gifting it to yourself or someone you know, the Sands Wellbeing Box is a unique item that can be purchased or gifted at any point in the parent’s journey. It offers ways for a bereaved parent to step away and focus on their own wellbeing, whether that be writing a note to their baby, lighting a candle, planting some wildflower seeds or having a cup of peppermint tea.

We have put together this beautiful wellbeing box with bereaved parents and Letterbox Gifts. It contains special items to help reduce anxiety and take some time for self-care. Often friends, family or colleagues want to do something practical to help, and sending a wellbeing box is an ideal way to show that you care.

What makes the Sands Wellbeing Box different to other wellbeing boxes?

We have co-created this wellbeing box with bereaved parents so we know that all of the contents are items which they would have found helpful. We have particularly focused on including items which relate to the different senses: sight, smell, touch, taste and hearing, as we know that grief affects the whole body, and that using the different senses is important to emotional and physical wellbeing.

What benefits do wellbeing boxes offer?

Many bereaved parents tell us they feel isolated, so sending a wellbeing box is a really good way to let them know that you care and that they are in your thoughts. Sending a box is also good for friends, family or colleagues who want to do something practical to help, but don’t know what. And when a bereaved parent opens the box, they with find a range of items to help them reduce anxiety, remember their baby, and take some time for themselves.

Can the box be personalised or sent with a card?

Yes! The box includes a card in addition to the other contents. When you order through the Letterbox Gifts website you will be asked for any personal message you would like it to contain.
