Support Sands in April and May by taking part in a unique walking event in Kent taking in 25 historic castles including Leeds, Rochester, Sissinghurst and Dover.
Beginning on Wednesday 27th April, Christopher Howard and David Roberts will be walking 220 miles in just 20 days. They’ll visit 25 castles in Kent on their journey to raise funds for Sands and Muscular Dystrophy UK and are inviting anyone who wants to support Sands or MDUK to join them.
There are a range of walks along the route, some suit all abilities and some are wheelchair accessible. Maps include advice to how to get the most out of the walks and heritage sites along the way.
To join Chris and David, you can find out more and sign up at MDUK’s website.
Chris and David are taking on this challenge in support of a relative with muscular dystrophy and in memory of a baby grand-daughter that died at birth. If you don’t want to take part, but would like to sponsor them, you can do so on by visiting their VirginMoneyGiving page. You can also keep up to date with their challenge on their Facebook page.
80% of proceeds will go to Muscular Dystrophy UK, towards research into Limb Girdle muscular dystrophy, and 20% to Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity.
