Why this matters
The trauma of baby death and pregnancy loss can last a lifetime. Parents’ memories of the care they received at that moment will stay with them forever. Better care can help parents and families navigate their bereavement journey, while poor care could add to the trauma of loss.
Sands works to give healthcare professionals the training, tools and support they need to provide excellent bereavement care. We lead the way in setting the standards for high-quality bereavement care through the National Bereavement Care Pathway programmes across the UK.
