Get in the fundraising spirit this Christmas and s
upport Sands!  We've listed eight ideas below to get you feeling inspired.

1. Festive Fiver Lotto

Simply ask everyone to write their name on a fiver, pop it in a hat (preferably a Santa one) and pick  a winner. Then split the pot between your lucky winner and Sands.

2. Mince pie and mulled wine party

Invite friends round, ask them to make a donation and provide them with free homemade mince pies and mulled wine.  Why not download our recipe for mouthwatering mince pies and our festive mulled wine

3. Unwanted Christmas presents?

Sell them on an online auction site such as e-bay or have a post-Christmas car boot sale. Then donate all proceeds to the Sands!

4. Nativity play/carol service

Ask your local school, church, community centre to collect money on Sands’ behalf during their Christmas activities.

5. Christmas party

Ask your work if you can collect funds at your Christmas party or hold a Christmas raffle as part of the festive celebrations. If you're feeling creative and want to make your own crackers for your party guests, how about including a Sands pin-badge/key-ring as a gift?

6. Have a cardless Christmas

Instead of sending Christmas cards this year, donate the money you would normally spend to Sands. Ask friends, relatives and colleagues to do the same. We can send you a collection box to collect the money in or you can create an online fundraising page and send your Christmas wishes that way.

7. Organise a Christmas Quiz

Christmas is a great time for a quiz – especially if you find a cosy pub to host it. All you need to do is find some festive questions online, choose a quiz master, rustle up some prizes and away you go. Now, who can name all of Santa’s reindeer?

8. Christmas market

Organise a Christmas market or craft fair at your local school or village hall. Ask people to make, bake, sew and knit festive treats in aid of Sands.
