Thank you for choosing to take part in an event for Sands. In accepting a Sands charity assured place in a third-party challenge event, you agree to the following:
Your registration fee for a Sands charity place is non-refundable and non-transferrable. Your place cannot be transferred to someone else or deferred to the following year except in exceptional circumstances which will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
If you’re unable to participate due to injury or any other health related issue, you must let Sands know as soon as possible so we can cancel your place.
You confirm that you are medically fit and are participating in the event at your own risk. If you are in any doubt, you should seek medical advice from your general practitioner before registering.
You understand that the event is not organised by Sands, but by a third-party. It is your responsibility to read any terms and conditions issued by this third-party and comply with these.
You participate in this event at your own risk and Sands will not be held responsible for any injury or illness resulting from your participation in the event. Sands will, in no way, be liable for any claim which may arise from this event.
If an event is cancelled by the organisers, the decision on whether charity places are automatically rolled over will be decided on a case by case basis depending on levels of sponsorship.
You understand that it will be necessary for Sands to share your data with the race organisers in order to secure your place in this event.
Gift Aid is not included in your sponsorship target and neither is your registration fee.
Sands reserves the right to revoke charity places in exceptional circumstances.
You must carry out your fundraising in accordance with the guidance set out ‘Keep It Safe, Keep It Legal’.
Should you, for whatever reason, choose not to take part in the event, all sponsor forms, sponsor money collected, fundraising materials must be forwarded to Sands and your sponsors will need to be notified. or returned to sponsors.
Only official and approved Sands branded materials are to be used when fundraising unless agreed otherwise.
You agree to raise the minimum pledge amount in sponsorship for Sands, which must be received no later than 6 weeks following the event. The objective is to raise as much sponsorship as possible to maximise the impact you and your supporters can make to save babies’ lives and support bereaved families.
You agree to pay all of the money you have raised to Sands, in accordance with Sands instructions. You may not deduct any costs unless otherwise agreed in advance with Sands.
No personal bank account should be used to collect funds.
You agree that Sands and official third party providers may use, without payment, notice or further consent, any photographs, videos and other images in which you appear which are taken at an event or event-related occasion in future promotional materials.
