Patti's Story

Patti still remembers the scan where she was given the news that would change her and her husband's Terry's life forever "I’m really sorry to tell you, there is no heartbeat" and how the room felt like it closed in. 22 years on, Patti and Terry still feel the pain of their first born son, Kieran's loss, as if it was yesterday, but baby Kieran taught them to become strong and value life, and he deserves to be remembered.

Victoria's Story as a bereaved Nan

When her daughter lost her baby at 26 weeks, Victoria and her family's world changed forever. Victoria reflects on how the sorrow of losing a grandchild while simultaneously carrying the heartbreak of seeing your own child in pain is grief on two levels, and is sharing her family's story in the hope that it helps other families, especially other grandparents, to feel less alone.
