Rosie shares how she and her husband spent years believing they would never have a baby after experiencing loss after loss. 2023, the same year the couple got married, ended in heartbreak when they experienced the stillbirth of their daughter Martha. In 2024, four months after losing Martha, Rosie fell pregnant again and in January 2025 she was able to hold her long waited for, healthy baby girl Edith, something she is extremely grateful for.
We spent years believing we would never have a baby, loss after loss, then 2023 the year we got married, the most amazing year, ended in heartbreak.
I remember the Snowdrop room, the smell still haunts me. Being told your baby has died still triggers me.
I carried Martha out the room; she couldn't be alone when we had to leave, and I carried her tiny coffin, I felt like it was the most I could do as a Mum.
In 2024, four months after we lost Martha, I got pregnant again. It was the most anxious pregnancy and complicated. Then in 2025 our rainbow came, due on the same day Martha's funeral was – the 12th of January. I felt that was cruel.
Edith came on the 8th January, and to hold a long waited for baby girl, a healthy tiny baby girl, is something I'm extremely grateful for. Martha left this world and created a pathway for Edith.🩷
