I am supporting Sands 'Star on our tree' campaign because this is my first Christmas as a bereaved mummy since losing my beautiful sleeping angel, Adora Elsie Klann, at 38 weeks on 11th September 2015. She was my first born and It's been 14 weeks on what feels like a very long journey.

Myself and my partner Ben have raised over £4500 for SANDS in just 12 weeks since her funeral.

Helping to raise awareness as much as we can with the help of family, friends and my incredible parents & students at my dance school, Starlet Dance School. This is just the start of what will be a lifetime of fundraising.

In memory of Adora we have a beautiful pink Christmas tree for her, with butterflies on it, personalised baubles, her name in lights, her stocking on the fireplace & advent candles. We were also given an Adora Star which we love looking up at in the sky and finding it on a clear night.

Nothing can take away the pain and heartache of what this and I guess many Christmases will feel like in the future. I feel with these small rituals it can help her memory live on in some way and most importantly, tell people that a very beautiful little baby girl was born. She had chubby little cheeks, all fingers & toes, a little button nose and was perfection in every way possible and her name was Adora.

Thank you for reading,

Thank you to Sands.

We hope all us grieving parents and our families find some sort of peace at Christmas and get through it, as only the best we can.
