On 25 March, let's remember babies lost to pregnancy and baby loss
In 2026, too many families still tell us that after their baby dies, the people around them don’t know what to say, so say nothing at all. Many parents never hear their baby’s name said aloud by anyone else again.
So that's why, on 25 March, we’ll be launching the first Say Their Name Day in the UK.
If you’ve experienced the loss of a baby, or someone close to you has, this is a chance to come together and share their name or memory – and support other families too.
If you can, please donate £25 to Sands too and support other families experiencing the heartbreak and devastation of pregnancy and baby loss.
Join us this Say Their Name Day and mark what your baby means to you.
Your baby matters. And they are not forgotten.
Honour your baby now
Honour a much-loved baby with a dedication on our 'Say Their Name' memory wall, a lasting tribute to all the babies being remembered.
You can share whatever feels meaningful to you, their name, a nickname, a symbol, a date, or simply a few words.

By donating for Say Their Name Day, not only are you helping Sands be there for families affected by pregnancy and baby loss, you are helping to raise awareness and turn understanding into action.
Why we've launched Say Their Name Day in the UK
Say Their Name Day has been running in Australia since 2019, organised by Red Nose Grief & Loss (Australia), and we're now working with them to launch the day in the UK.
Say Their Name in your Will
