“It’s widely acknowledged that there are serious inconsistencies in the delivery of maternity care across the UK. We know maternity services struggle with resourcing to provide adequate staffing and access to equipment such as ultrasound scanning machines. If resource levels impact on care it's essential that is understood and addressed urgently to ensure  women and babies are safe, every day, everywhere.”
