100 Pointhouse Road
Join Team Sands in this annual fathers day event which has firmly earned itself the reputation of being the run for men in the west!
The Glasgow Men’s 10K, along with its brotherly Edinburgh event, aims to be a catalyst for men across Scotland and even further afield to take control of their health and make a genuine, positive change. Each year, thousands of men come together to complete the Men’s 10K, each with a different reason for running, whether that is to gain fitness, lose weight, quit smoking or raise funds for a charity close to their heart.
Starting at the spectacular setting of the Riverside Transport Museum, you head east along the River Clyde taking in scenic views. In the first couple of kilometres you will see the Glasgow Science Centre and the Armadillo. The route will then head up to Finnieston and over Kingston Bridge. From the top of Kingston Bridge you will see the iconic football grounds of Hampden Park and Ibrox Stadium. Once across Clyde River, the route then swings east and back across the river then on to George Square. At this point you will have the Glaswegian city centre crowds cheering you on. The route then goes back over the Clyde before reaching Glasgow Green where you’ll be cheered into the finish.
Through taking on the streets of Scotland’s biggest city you will raise much needed funds and we will support you with:
- Support from our Fundraising team to help you achieve your target.
- Sands fundraising pack
- Free Sands t-shirt/running vest (or both!)
- Pre-event support from our lovely Challenge Events Team
- Friday Shout-Out on Facebook
- Sands' Cheer Sticks and Collection Tins
Through taking on the streets of Glasgow, you will raise much needed money to help us prevent more babies from dying and meet the growing need for our support services
