Take on the iconic London Landmarks Half Marathon with Sands

It's one of the most exciting half marathons in the UK featuring some of London's top sights including Big Ben, the Shard, The Tower of London and the London Eye. Whilst running on those closed roads round London, you'll experience this incredible city like never before.

There are two different ways to run the London Landmarks Half Marathon for Sands. It’s important to choose the right option for you.

Charity Place with Sands 

Apply for one of our limited Sands charity places.

• You will receive a guaranteed place in the race through Sands
• In return, you commit to meeting a minimum fundraising target
• We will support you every step of the way with fundraising and training

Reg fee: £20

Minimum sponsorship: £300

Register for Charity Place

Own Place (Ballot Place) 

Secure your place independently through the official LLHM ballot.

• You must already have a confirmed place directly from London Landmarks Half Marathon
• You can then choose to run for Sands and fundraise
• There is no minimum fundraising target, just raise what you can

As part of Team Sands you'll receive

The difference you will make

Sands works to ensure that anyone affected by the death of a baby receives the care and support they need during the most difficult times. We also campaign for change and fund research to help reduce the number of babies who die.
We all know someone affected by baby loss. Join Team Sands and help us continue to be there for families when they need us most.

Join the Sands Cheer Squad on Sunday 4 April 2027!

Join the official Team Sands Cheer Squad in Central London to cheer on our incredible London Landmarks Half Marathon runners.

Can you offer your time to come along and cheer for a few hours between 09:30 am until 1:45 pm on race day? Sands will be located by Mile 9, Arundel Street, Temple, London WC2R 3DX.

You will be supported by receiving:

Free Sands t-shirt Pompoms and bells to make some noise on the cheer point. Dedicated contact in our Volunteering Team and Events Team
