Jolene shares how it was the worst time of her life when her little girl was stillborn after she had a placental abruption at 24 weeks and five days pregnant. She shares how Sands support helped her greatly and that the Sands team understood how she was feeling in a way nobody else could which made her feel less alone. 

I had a placental abruption at 24 weeks and five days pregnant and my little girl was stillborn. It was the worst time of my life, but Sands helped me in a way that nobody else could. They didn't judge they just listened and offered me lots of help and support the whole way through my grieving, my baby's funeral and just absolutely everything. They are such an amazing team. 

I now give back to Sands as much as I possibly can because the support that Sands gave to me helped me greatly. They understood more than anyone else that had not been through baby loss and their support made me realise I wasn’t alone in the world because that’s how I felt at the time.
