Please read the following guidance before using your remembrance diya. 

• Never leave a lit diya, candle or incense stick unattended. 

• Always place your diya on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from flammable materials. 

• Keep away from children and pets. 

• Do not move the diya whilst it is lit or whilst the ceramic is still hot. 

• Allow the diya to cool completely before handling, cleaning or storing. 

• Do not use the incense holder and diya flame at the same time. 

• Avoid overfilling the ghee or oil to ensure there is spillage  

• Ensure wicks are fully saturated before lighting. 

• Extinguish the flame carefully after use and check that it has completely gone out. 

• If using a tealight, follow the safety guidance provided by the tealight manufacturer. 

By following these simple precautions, your remembrance diya can be enjoyed safely and returned to year after year as part of your remembrance traditions.
