Please be aware that Jenny has chosen to share pictures of her baby girl Madison with her story.
My name is Jenny, I am now 31. In October 2024 myself and my partner miscarried twins. We were devastated.
When we found out I was pregnant again in January 2025 we were so happy but also very anxious. At every scan we would be so nervous. The longer the pregnancy went on the more confident we got. Until at 30 weeks, our baby girls heart stopped beating. She was born in July 2025. 3.1lb of absolute perfectness. I really don’t know how we got through. She was such a wanted little girl, we had everything we needed for her and suddenly she was gone. To then plan and attend your daughter’s funeral is something no parent should ever have to do.
In the last 12 months we’ve moved house and I have started a new job, all because it was too hard with the memories and my previous job to carry our lives forward. I’ve also completed a lot of charity work since the passing of Madison and last year, I raised over £1,500 for Sands.
Fast forward to August 2026 and we have recently had our baby girl’s first anniversary. The emotions that brought were indescribable.
Along with always grieving our baby girl, we tackle the fact that we want nothing more than to be a family, and although I am and always will be a mummy to my perfect girl, we do want a baby that we can bring home to love and cherish for the rest of our lives and carry her memory on to a sibling. However, eight months of trying for another baby and it doesn’t seem to be happening yet. I hate it when people say ‘at least you can get pregnant’ because I know that, but after everything we have been through why this now? Why us?
We’re faced with questions every month that we don’t conceive. I know they say, ‘it will be the trauma’, ‘it will happen when it’s meant to’ but that doesn’t take the pain away.
I have recently started an Instagram and TikTok page to share my story and share my experiences of the first year of being a mummy to a baby in heaven madison.forever.mummy and a women who has miscarried, had a baby born sleeping and is now struggling to conceive.
