My son Jamie David was 10 days overdue and finally he was born on the 7th April 1999 weighing a healthy 8lb 8oz. He was perfect. 

Six weeks later, I woke up on sunny Saturday morning and he was gone. Nearly 27 years later and my heart still aches and I miss him so much. There was no reason really why my son passed away, he was so healthy and doing amazing. 

My arms ached once he was gone, I missed his smell and cuddles. Time does heal but I have never been the same person I used to be and sometimes I want her back too. 

I went on to have two daughters and watching them grow and hit milestones made me wonder what would have been with my beautiful son. 

Over time it does get better, and I still have my good and bad days. I will always talk about my son and if it helps someone or raises awareness then that makes me happy.
