Myself and my husband have been through four losses before having a rainbow daughter in March 2020.

We had one early miscarriage (nine weeks) and three late miscarriages ranging from 16 to 23 weeks.

I found out after my fourth loss that I have an incompetent cervix and was given a Transvaginal Cervical Cerclage (TVC) which failed, then we were offered a Trans Abdominal Cerclage (TAC) the same year (2016).

Being of Asian background miscarriage is seen as a taboo and a stigma, and myself and my husband found that there wasn't enough support around for us.

Having difficult pregnancies in the past no one actually knew how much we were mentally effected, so getting pregnant again was difficult and being pregnant was an emotional rollercoaster. We were each others support and our families supported us as much as they could.

We want to share our story to provide support for families who feel alone and to get rid of the stigma surrounding miscarriage and infertility.
