Cole and Abbie’s £1 to £1,000,000 fundraising challenge for Sands!
In November this year Cole and Abbie announced an incredible fundraising challenge to turn £1 into £1,000,000 in just one year to support Sands.
Following the devastating loss of one of their twin babies during pregnancy, Cole and Abbie really wanted to use their voice and community to help others touched by pregnancy or baby loss. Rather than retreat from the heartbreak, they chose to turn their experience into something positive by raising awareness and vital funds for Sands.
They’re using creative activities, community fundraisers and social-media momentum to inspire people to join the challenge, one pound at a time.
This ambitious target isn’t just about a number. It’s about raising awareness, and helping create a safe, understanding and caring community for anyone touched by pregnancy or baby loss, that helps people through some of life’s hardest moments.
"Myself and my wife have unfortunately recently lost one of our babies at our twelve week scan in our twin pregnancy. This as you can imagine has hit us and our family really hard. The support and outreach we have received has been incredible, so we decided to turn our heartache into something positive. We are going to try and turn £1 into £1million in just a year for Sands ... an incredible charity who help so many families across the UK. Throughout the year we will be doing many crazy ideas to raise as much as we possibly can and we’d love you all to come along and join our journey with us."
