Walk, Jog or Run it! 

Take on the South West Coast 50 and join more than 1,000 Challengers on a spectacular yet challenging route along the South West Coast Path and into Exmoor National Park. Walk, jog, or run across 50km, 25km, & 10km distance options all whilst fundraising for charity and making a real difference.

Head out from basecamp by the impressive Dunster Castle, along the sandy coastline of Minehead and into Exmoor. The full 50 km route has magnificent views over the coastline and even all the way to Wales, with more than 1,500m of climb across the journey. Enjoy the charming village of Porlock before a rewarding climb up Dunkery Beacon to another breath-taking view.

Join as an individual or as a team and get ready to experience full support every step of the way. Regular Rest Stops packed with food & drink, hot meals, fully marked routes, massage & medical care, marshals on course and walking the route with you, and of course an unbeatable community.

There’s a range of camping options & transfers available for all Challengers so you can plan your whole weekend smoothly.

Minimum sponsorship target from: £150 - £375

Charity Fundraising - Pay a small registration fee, but raise more so that Sands can cover the cost of your event place. Sands is an Associate partner so you get 25% off registration fee.

Own Place - Pay for your event place upfront, but you do not have a set minimum sponsorship target, you can raise what you want for Sands. 

Charity Fundraising will need to raise at least 50% of their minimum sponsorship target 4 weeks before the South West 50 Challenge to secure their entries.

Sands want to ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of time.  We want to campaign for change and support research so that fewer babies die and so that fewer families experience the pain of losing a baby.
