Research conducted by Sands has shown that after returning to work, nearly 50% of people reported that no one talked to them about the death of their baby. Shockingly, 80% of people were offered no internal or external bereavement support from their employer.
Employers are in a position to make a real difference to the lives of bereaved parents and other family members affected by baby loss. As part of our Finding the Words campaign we want to help employers, and people working in HR or positions of management, put in place effective and meaningful support for staff whose baby has died.
