See London’s most iconic sights with this fantastic walking Challenge and kick start your 2027.
 

The London Winter Walk is the best way to start the year strong and fundraise for an important cause. 

Whether it’s the full marathon walk across London, a scenic half marathon along the Thames Path, or the family friendly 10 km and 5 km.
All routes start & finish at The Oval Cricket Ground and take in both sides of the Thames & the capital’s landmarks. 

Sign up as a team, or as an individual, and families are welcome. There are rest stops packed with snacks & drinks, a finisher’s t-shirt & medal, and hot food back at the finish line.

Sands is an Associate Partner you can get an early bird offer of 50% off reg fees for charity sponsorship when you sign up before 30 September 2026, after that date it will be 25% off reg fees.

Reg fees: £10- £99

Minimum sponsorship target from: £150 - £300

Charity Fundraising - Pay a small registration fee, but raise more so that Sands can cover the cost of your event place. Sands is an Associate partner so you get 25% off registration fee.

Self Fund with fundraising - Pay for your event place upfront, but you do not have a set minimum sponsorship target, you can raise what you want for Sands.

Charity Fundraising entries will need to raise at least 50% of their minimum sponsorship target 4 weeks before the London Winter Walk goes ahead, to secure their entry.

As part of Team Sands you'll receive

• Supportive team emails to help you reach your fundraising goals.

• Once in a lifetime experience which will help save babies' lives and support anyone affected by the death of a baby.

Sands want to ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of time.  We want to campaign for change and support research so that fewer babies die and so that fewer families experience the pain of losing a baby.

We all know someone who has lost a baby. So please join Team Sands and help us continue to be there for them.
