Designed to support staff with developing their skills, knowledge and confidence, the training available includes the following topics:

  • Considering the impact of pregnancy and baby loss
  • Communicating with compassion after pregnancy and baby loss
  • Looking after yourself when supporting families through pregnancy and baby loss
  • Recognising trauma reactions in pregnancy and baby loss

Available online, anytime, anywhere via the NHS Learning Hub – Sands training for healthcare professionals is now more accessible than ever.

For those working in research, there’s an additional training module ‘Communicating with bereaved parents in research’.

"At Sands we are delighted to offer new bite-sized training to all NHS staff for the first time. It’s easy to access allowing anyone who may encounter bereaved families to have the basic skills, knowledge and confidence to care for them.”
