On Sunday 16th June (Father’s Day) Jen Coates, Director of Volunteering & Bereavement Support at Sands, and bereaved mother Shema Tariq were interviewed on the station that provides news, views and music for the Asian community in Beds, Herts and Bucks.
Shema told her story about the death of her baby son Altair, how babyloss is a taboo subject and how bereaved fathers are often not thought about and are overlooked when their baby dies.
Jen spoke about the different types of support Sands provides, the Finding Your Way campaign and Sands Awareness Month.
