Congratulations to the Birmingham Sands group - they have recently celebrated their 30th Anniversary. Established in 1982, Birmingham Sands has supported countless families over the years and continues to do so. The group marked the occasion with an informal gathering of parents and volunteers past and present and celebrated all their achievements over the years.
Ritu Sharma, Chair, Birmingham Sands commented, “We are extremely proud of our achievements over the past 30 years and of how many families we have been able to support. We have witnessed a huge change in attitudes over that time but there are still too many babies dying. The death of a baby is an utterly devastating experience and we are dedicated more than ever to supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby.”
