What makes the Sands Wellbeing Box different to other wellbeing boxes?
We have co-created this wellbeing box with bereaved parents so we know that all of the contents are items which they would have found helpful. We have particularly focused on including items which relate to the different senses: sight, smell, touch, taste and hearing, as we know that grief affects the whole body, and that using the different senses is important to emotional and physical wellbeing.
What benefits do wellbeing boxes offer?
Many bereaved parents tell us they feel isolated, so sending a wellbeing box is a really good way to let them know that you care and that they are in your thoughts. Sending a box is also good for friends, family or colleagues who want to do something practical to help, but don’t know what. And when a bereaved parent opens the box, they with find a range of items to help them reduce anxiety, remember their baby, and take some time for themselves.
Can the box be personalised or sent with a card?
