For our Together, we are Sands campaign, we are celebrating the impact of the connections made within and beyond the Sands community.
Thank you to Janelle for sharing her connection to our community – a community unlike any other.
"I lost my baby in December 2015.
"I walked through the doors at Leeds Sands in April 2016, at my absolute rock bottom.
"I didn’t talk, I just cried, for the whole 2 hours. But I felt like I belonged. This was a room I was safe in. I was inspired to become a Befriender in 2018 to continue the wonderful help I experienced.
"I, along with family members and friends, have ran 10K’s and 2 marathons in memory of the babies I’ve had the privileged to meet.
"We’ve raised nearly £4000 for Sands in the process."
