Sands offers RCM accredited, evidence based and skills focused bereavement care training for student midwives. The parent experience runs throughout each workshop, with a guest parent speaker, film, audio and parent quotes.

‘An excellent day. An excellent facilitator. Should be compulsory for all student midwives and midwives’ Student midwife, Cardiff.

It is essential that student midwives get the opportunity to receive training in how to best care for bereaved families whilst they have support from the University and their mentor in practice.  The result will be midwives who will qualify with a sound knowledge and skill base to build on, to ensure bereaved families receive the care they need’ Julie Jones, Midwifery Lecturer
