This e-learning course aims to develop awareness, knowledge and understanding of the importance of providing parent-led, sensitive and empathic care for parents whose baby dies before, during or shortly after birth. It is not intended to replace face-to-face training which facilitates the development of skills in this important area of care.

This e-learning course aims to support maternity staff in communicating uncertainty with empathy and confidence. It is not intended to replace face-to-face training which facilitates the development of skills in this important area of care.


Pregnancy Loss and Child Bereavement, e-learning for GPs

This online course aims to equip GPs with the tools and confidence to support patients through pregnancy loss and child bereavement.

The first module centres on the immediate period after a loss whilst the second explores the longer term effects and subsequent pregnancies. The course will also discuss legal issues, and have information on processes in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, along with other resources to help support parents.
