Would you like to come along to cheer on our runners at the Virgin London Marathon on Sunday 13th April, 2014? We have more than 40 amazing people running for Team Sands this year - and they would be thrilled to have as many people as possible cheering them on, on the day! 

We are hoping to make this year really special for our runners. There will be a cheering point on Birdcage Walk (very close to Green Park tube station) and a Meet-n-Greet point in St James’ Park. We anticipate some of our quicker participants to complete the marathon at any time from around 1.00pm onwards so ideally we would like your presence from 12pm, but we would welcome anyone to cheer with us on Birdcage Walk or wait at the Meet-n-Greet point throughout the day.

Last year Sands’ London Marathon runners raised over £50,000, which is an incredible total given that we only have a handful of golden bond places and are always so heavily over-subscribed! For those of you that have never experienced the London Marathon in its full glory, we cannot stress enough what an amazing experience it is; it is the biggest fundraising event of the year and the largest marathon in the world – our fundraisers would be over the moon to see you there!
