Job title: Supporter Care Officer
Responsible to: Senior Fundraising & Events Co-ordinator
Location: Sands, Victoria Charity Centre, 11 Belgrave Road, London, SW1V 1RB
Salary: £23,000 per annum plus £3,400 per annum London Weighting Allowance
Hours: 35 per week (9.30 to 5.30pm, with a one hour unpaid lunch break)
Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal charity is a well-respected national charity that:
- Supports anyone affected by the death of a baby
- Works in partnership with health professionals to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care
- Promotes and funds research that could help to reduce loss of babies’ lives.
Sands is seeking a Supporter Care Officer to join its Fundraising Team to ensure the efficient and effective processing of income from supporters and provide excellent customer care.
We need someone with a high degree of accuracy, flexibility, customer service and problem solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to meet set deadlines and targets; producing a high standard of work even when under pressure. We require a real team-player who has a highly flexible and proactive approach.
The ideal candidate will also have excellent interpersonal skills, good attention to detail and the ability to manage their own workload whilst supporting other team members.
Substantial experience of working with databases and in producing reports, statistics and analysis within CRM databases, such as ThankQ and/or Raiser’s Edge, is an absolute requirement for this role.
Above all, you will have empathy with the overall aims and objectives of the charity and an ability to engage with Sands’ volunteers and supporters in an appropriate and sensitive way.
