Salary: £300 per one-day workshop and £200 per half-day course
Hours: Trainers are required to deliver a minimum of 3 training events each year
Sands are looking to recruit 1 – 2 Trainers in Scotland to join the national team of Sands Bereavement Care Trainers to deliver Sands Bereavement Care training to professionals in the form one -day workshops and half-day courses throughout the UK.
Each Bereavement Care Trainer will deliver training single-handedly for groups of professionals on-site at hospitals and universities, and also at Sands-hosted training events that allow professionals to access Sands training on an individual basis.
You will be an experienced and skilled trainer, who is able to facilitate and deliver high quality workshops and courses to professionals on providing good, sensitive bereavement care for parents who experience pregnancy loss and the death of a baby.
The successful candidate will ideally have a professional training qualification and be able to demonstrate a high degree of empathy, excellent communication and facilitation skills, as well as a passion for empowering groups of people to engage in learning and skills-development, and for delivering sensitive material to diverse groups. Experience within the charity sector is desirable, but not essential. You must be comfortable dealing with sensitive and difficult issues. Good IT skills are also essential.
