Why you are running for Sands?

My daughter Lucy was stillborn at 40 weeks + 10 days (10 days after due date). Following a text book pregnancy, it was a total, devastating shock. Sands were amazing. I didn’t feel alone and I could be honest with how I was feeling without feeling guilty as I didn’t want to burden my family with exactly how I was feeling, as they were also grieving, so talking to someone else was a godsend. Losing your child is one of the hardest thing to go through in life. Raising money to help Sands research ways to prevent this happening was a natural choice when I received my ballot place.
